Madhavi Ayurveda

The centre

In the heart of the backwaters

A small traditional healing centre on Madhavi Islands, Valiyaparamba, in northern Kerala — a short walk from a white-sand beach on the Arabian Sea.

Kerala — God's Own Country

The land of coconut palms

In Malayalam, the language of the South, Kerala means “land of coconut palms”. Splendid beaches, green plains, tea plantations, the mountains of the Western Ghats: nature here is remarkably generous, as are its fauna and flora — spices, ancient trees, elephants, monkeys and countless birds.

It is also a land of tolerance, where temples, mosques, churches and synagogues stand side by side in the same town — and the historic cradle of therapeutic Ayurveda.

The centre is in the Valiyaparamba area, a group of islands between lagoons and ocean, far from mass tourism. A place to shop is ten minutes away by tuk-tuk.

There is also a dining room, where South Indian vegetarian meals are served, prepared according to the doctor's prescription.
