In northern Kerala, Madhavi Ayurveda welcomes those who wish to follow a traditional Ayurvedic cure in an authentic and caring setting. Founded in 2014, the centre is now medically directed by a couple of Ayurvedic doctors.
There is no spa and no “wellness package” here: an age-old medicine, prescribed and followed every day by the doctor, in a deliberately small centre — nine rooms — where everyone receives personal attention.
From Geneva, Françoise Barrios, clinical psychologist and Ayurvedic medicine practitioner, accompanies you from your first question until you return home.

This is a medical cure, not a relaxing week: every programme is set by the doctor after a consultation, then adjusted day by day. Two people who come for the same reason never follow the same protocol.

Between the backwaters and the Arabian Sea
The centre is on Madhavi Islands, in the Valiyaparamba area: a string of islands lined with coconut palms, peaceful lagoons and a long white-sand beach. Life follows the rhythm of nature — the rising light, birdsong, the sea air.

Doctors present every day
Dr Shamna and Dr Prajith, graduates of the Parassinikkadavu Ayurveda Medical College, lead a full team of therapists, women and men. A daily consultation for every guest.
The medical team speaks English; Françoise Barrios translates when needed — so you do not need to speak English to come.
